Conservative: One who is reluctant to change. Will do so only provide for the national defense or to preserve inalienable rights. Believes that he or she is responsible for his and his family’s welfare and happiness. Believes that the Constitution was written by altruistic men with classical educations and a strong sense of history (avoid the fate of Rome). Understands the concept of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Is a citizen of a great nation of rugged individuals.

Liberal: One who is ideologically inclined to change. Will change for the sake of experiment or expediency. Believes that the government is responsible for his and his family’s welfare. Believes that the Constitution was a dynamic document written by a bunch of old white men. Does not feel that history is relevant (speeding toward the fate of Rome). Is vaguely aware (if at all) of the concept of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Is a citizen of the world.
