Was an absolutely beautiful day on the water today -- going from Parker Creek toward Kowaliga on our pontoon boat was like what I would imagine Heaven to be. Coming back the other way (against the wind) was a little less pleasant but the abundant sunshine made it all worthwhile.

Decided to go up to the Russell landing where the carts take you to Catherine's and Springhouse....ran into one of the young men who drive the carts and asked them how much longer they would be running. He said a couple of weeks...depending on how much longer boats could get to the dock.

May not be two weeks if the lake drops another half foot or so. We rearranged a fair bit of mud getting close to their dock, so I would guess that when the water gets to 485 they will close shop. By that time the only boats able to comfortably get to the dock will have a jet drive....
