About the only thing I remember about Jimmy Carter being President was them taking out every other bulb in the ceiling lights and turning the heat down. Oh yes, and the Iranians holding our people hostage and that little mess in the desert.
No, I don't think he was a hero.

I reguarly watch "Morning Joe". Around lunchtime, I'll probably turn onto to CNN. Depending on how busy I am, I may pull up the Washington Post and/or the NYTimes. I read the B'ham News every day, but truthfully, mostly for the cartoons. I don't watch Fox News regularly, but if I'm flipping through the channels and something catches my interest, I'll watch it. A few times I've watched Huckabee. At night, I might watch the History channel or Discovery channel, but then I might watch Animal Planet or Top Chef. I believe about half of what I read and hear. I figure the truth of most things lies somewhere in the middle.

People send me a lot of stuff, but I usually delete it without opening it. I don't have a particular interest in political rhetoric.
So for all I know, I may be getting the same emailed stuff you are getting, but I just don't open it.

I don't have a "hero". About as close as I've come to heros are Colin Powell and Lee Iocooa (back in the day). But, I admire leadership, not only in public figures, but also in people that you never hear about.

I have no opinion one way or the other about General Casey. I have a number of opinions about Army culture, but I'm not willing to share them on a public forum.

And to quote Forrest Gump - "that's all I have to say about that".
