I've had similiar experience at the Post Office, but I would be remiss if I didn't stick up for the Post Mistress of the Equality Post Office and my RR postman. It is a joy to go to the Post Office in Equality. The postmistress is so nice, so helpful and she always goes the extra mile. At the end of every transaction, she always says "thank you for mailing with us". My postman, Mr. Shores, is equally wonderful. Always polite, always goes the extra mile. Brings large packages down to my door. One day he left the wrong package at my house, was at the door within 5 minutes, picking it back up. You can damn the institution, but there are some good people with the post office too. I've seen customers be abusive to the postal employees, screaming and cursing at them. No one should have to put up with that. So maybe there is a reason they don't always cut you the break that you think you deserve.
