I have not talked to Heath, but did talk to a CS rep. He offered a discount on a new model that has replaceable elements, once they get some in in February. I have thought of an oven or stove eye element with a thermostat. I was hoping someone else had tried it before and could help guide me around any pitfalls. I think I'll go by the local appliance parts store and see what they think. I'll post any results. Thanks!!
