What you are saying about his reason for not running again is not true. He apparently had no concerns about re-election. But, he is truly disgusted by the partisan politics in Washington. There are people that go to Washington because they believe that they will accomplish something there.

But, don't get me wrong. I think it is a positive thing that a lot of Democrats and Republicans are not running for re-election. Congress needs new blood.

BTW, I read today that McCain is considering his prospects... indications are that he may have a problem getting re-elected too.
