We are all stewards of Spaceship Earth. We cannot be desecrating that over which we are given charge. (I work to clean up unexploded ordnance and radioactive contamination)

True, professional scientists and engineers are compelled to employ GOOD science and DELIBERATE engineering to EFFECTIVELY solve REAL problems.

We cannot… must not… solve IMAGINARY or TRIVIAL problems with BAD science and ILLOGICAL engineering. Such is a waste of mankind’s resources and confidence. When God asks, “What are you doing?” his question should not be asked with incredulity.
