I'm not really sure who we have been targeting with our nuclear weapons since we pointed them away from Russia. Those two countries, Iran and North Korea, are the only two countries who refuse to enter into any kind of nuclear treaty. And they consistently seek nuclear materials on the black market. Are you really afraid of a nuclear attack? I'm more worried that China and other debt holders are going to call in debt. Or that Russia will stop selling of oil. Now that is something to fear.

This thing with Karzai -- you recall that he was "our guy" in Afghanistan under the Bush administration. We made sure he got in -- not because we loved him, but because he was the best of a lousy group of potential leaders. We've always know he is corrupt and the Obama Administration has been pressing him on it. The Bush Administration would have done the same by now, because you remember when they were pushing the Iraqi government? Same kind of pushback. Karzai is just posturing hoping they will back off. My bet is he will be out of there within months. Even his own people don't like him, and outside the capital, no one really cares about a strong central government. Seems that we're the only ones who think that Afghanistan should have a strong central government, despite the fact they never had one before the Taliban took over.
So I don't think you can lay the Karzai issue on Obama's lap. It's more like the natural progression of things.
