I'm well aware who was paying my salary. That's why I worked 14 hour days, answered my phones, gave out information and tried to be as helpful as I could, worked out meetings and generally did everything I could within the constraints of the law.

I took being a public servant very seriously. Public service meant a lot to me. It certainly wasn't just a paycheck.
