I wonder, GF, if you don't have also that sick feeling in YOUR stomach that something has gone wrong with our country. Do you think life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is improved? Are YOU spending and hiring? Are YOU cutting back on expenses?

I want to retire. But, I don't dare. The government will eat up my savings in new or increased taxes. My health care is getting more expensive because of OBAMAcare (TriCare was supposed to be free for the rest of my life when I went into the military in '68). I didn’t make a fortune while serving my country during the prime years of my life. I come from a long line of soldiers and sailors. I won’t be inheriting a pot of money. The price of a tank-full of gas is significant to me.

I worked. I served. I saved. I followed the advice of financial experts. I saved enough for us to be modestly comfortable, in a small house, for my golden years. I’ve stayed out of debt. And now I find I have to share the hard earned results with those who didn’t.

Obama, Pelosi, and Reid have viciously attacked the ethics and values of people like me. They have begun to skim the enjoyment off of life for middle income retirees. They will rob our children and grandchildren. It is robbery… because only the government can operate such a ponzi scheme.
