I think you are misreading my statement. I said I don't want to live in a country where people aren't outraged by racism.

I'm not sure what this has to do with your service in Viet Nam and how you were treated. You think that because you didn't get the respect you felt you deserved at that time, then it's okay now for people to act out on racism now? Do I understand you correctly?

I'm sorry that you were treated poorly after your service in Viet Nam. Happened to Feb too, and a lots of other people that served. It was wrong then and it is wrong now. It would seem to me that because of that experience you would be even less willing tolerate spitting on people and calling them names, because of something they did on behalf of our country -- even if you don't personally believe it is right.

If you are so bitter, perhaps it is you who should consider moving, if you can't be a positive force for change.
