Those other guys may be good, too, I don't know.

But Jackson is very, very, good. They have bailed me out more than once on real estate deals where we had to have an hvac replaced or serviced fast and in the right way.

They might not be the absolute cheapest, but their prices are competitive. The reason I deal with them is I know I won't be embarrassed by recommending them to a client: it will be done right, not in a jack leg manner, and they have been around a long time and will back up their work 100%.

I also trust them enough that I can know if they say do upgrade or do something, I can know they just aren't saying it to get you to spend more money.

Example - I had a deal where the sale was contingent upon an hvac inspection and it being in working order. In other words, if the buyer and seller disagreed about the condition of the HVAC, the deal would fall apart. Another sub (won't mention names) went down there and juiced it with freon so it limped along for a matter of hours. But 3 hours AFTER the closing, it was blowing warm air. I called Jackson, they got down there the same day and crawled through the whole system. They recommended a total replacement. This wasn't good news to say the least. But they pointed out the technical reasons why a patch would not work, and would be a waste of money. Their analysis was so thorough, even the seller could not dispute it. The buyer and seller ended up sharing the cost of a new system.

I wouldn't say that the seller and buyer were ecstatic about spending the money, but they both were confident that they bought a good system from people that knew what they were doing, weren't out to nickel and dime you, and would be there in the unlikely event that anything went wrong.
