This should probably be in the maint. section but I put it here anyway. I was putting a second battery and switch in the pontoon boat the other weekend and noticed that one of the battery cables had rubbed almost halfway throught the cable. Bare copper showing and the insulation was all in bad shape. I found a website that makes custom cables very cheap. Got them today and they look like very good quality. I had two 8' (#4AWG) cables made with the ends crimped and heat shrunk for a total $32.10, shipping included. Academy has 24" cables for almost $30.00 each. Check out the URL. I am not affilated w/ this site in any way, just wanted to pass on good info.

CAT or NC2 can tell me if it was a good deal.

Also make sure you check those cables. I surely would have been out somewhere and had a problem b/b of these old cables.
