I finally did find the article and read it. He only said it was one of three things the President charged him with doing, and he IS traveling to the Middle East, so we must think that they have something.
If you take a break from RW propaganda and think about it, it makes some sense in the context I mentioned -- that the Administration wants a consistent message that we are not at war with Islam, but at war with extremists and terrorists. Did you ever think that it might serve the interests of the US to have moderate Islamists contributing to our sciences? They have scientists and mathemeticans too.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with bringing moderate Islamic nations into the fold.

So my question to you Lifer -- Do you ever stop being reactionary?
