I can't buy the notion that the building of the mosque overlooking Ground Zero is tied to "freedom of religion". No one is saying that they can't build a mosque, just that the majority of people don't want it built on that particular site. One would hope that they would understand and willingly pick another site. But no. And the whole basis of building it is supposed to promote understanding of Islam....

I'm a little tired at this point, of having the virtues and understanding and being sensitive to the feeling of Muslims. On the whole I don't condemn them as a group, but I have no particular desire to embrace them either. I've had lots of exposure to Muslim countries, Muslim people and the Quoran, but I can't forget 9/11 and the way that their people danced in the street in Pakistan, Saudi and various other Muslim countries, while American families were putting up posters looking for their loved ones.
