I was in Memphis this past week end and observed a couple of things.

1. We ate at a restaurant that probable employed a minimum of 30 people. The cost of the building and the equipment was probably less than #2M. This is small business owner created jobs. If the government had given this person the $2M, the cost per job for the 30 people to the Government would have been at most $65,000 per job which is much less than the $4M per job in LA.

2. If the Government subsidized the construction of a Nursing Facility, the owner of the  Nursing Home would  probably employ at least 200 people. Assuming a construction cost of $5M,, the cost per job would be around $25,000 per job.

If we are going to waste the taxpayer's money, let's at least be efficient. Our Government has no idea on how to reduce unemployment in this country.
