I came really close to getting that smoker, really close. Saw it at Sam's for about $275 (?), and hesitated. Then, Cotton's posts about problems with his earlier models, and I went with a barrel-shaped propane unit. My gas smoker has some issues too, like the flame blowing out on wendy days, or the slot for adding wood is too narrow. But, overall it works well, and results are good. Sounds like MB solved their problem. Regardless of what type you get, just do it. Paired with a reliable remote temperature probe, smoking is fun and the flavor that results is worth it.
