Hope you are not in the Sandy Creek area but I doubt it.  There are tons of dogs that roam the neighborhood and we know them all.  Our grill is usually on their daily path, if just for a good sniff.  Seems strange to me that someone would do that other than to just be mean but you never know, maybe there is a dog in the area that is causing problems and they mistook yours for  that one. 

I agree with Hound, a call to the Sheriff might be a good idea, especially if they violated an ordinance on discharging a gun.
