Dear Illinois, your post landed on a Forum associated with a large lake (Martin) in central Alabama. 700+ miles of shoreline and literally thousands of floating docks. Don't know about rollers or pins. Down here, well anchored posts, chain and lag bolts seem to be the order of the day.
Just like there, our friends in the Tax Offices seem to be looking for more money. Seems they do not acknowlege that real estate taxes would logically follow real estate values?? Not.
When they start taxing floating docks here, we will have reached financial insanity in government.
