Six Irishmen are playing poker in Jimmy O'Conners flat when Paddy Murphy loses 600 euro on a single hand. Paddy moans, clutches his chest and drops dead on the table. the other 5 cross themselves and then continue playing standing up out of respect for their fallen friend.

At last about 1:00 in the morning, Jimmy looks around and says "'Tis fer shure now lads, one of us has to tell the sad news to Paddy's wife. Now, which shall it be?"

They decide to draw straws. Brenden Callagher gets the short straw. They all agree that he must be sensitive and gentle so as to not make a bad situation worse.

"Have no consarn boys, I can be the most sensitive man in all Dublin City." assures Brenden

Brenden goes to Paddy's house and knocks at the door. After a few minutes Mary Murphy comes to the door in her robe and slippers. She has obviously been roused from bed and does not appear happy. She says "Alroit Gallagher, ya drunken bumb, what is ya need?"

"well Mary, Paddy joost lost 600 euro at poker and is afraid ta come home."

"Well, ya can go tell the SOB ta drop dead!"

"that I will Mary."
