How is the Pharmaceutical company being raped? The FDA doesn't tell them what to charge. The company sets the price, supposedly to recoup the cost of their research and development. And they'll keep the price high until their patent expires, then it will go generic and the price will drop.

This is only one of the many reasons our health insurance is so high. And why the health insurance providers are pressing patients to press their physicians for generic drugs.
