But it was aimed at the Republicans that whine the Democrats won't let them get anything done....

When you step back from the whole thing and look at it objectively, isn't it just our politics that allows one side to always blame the other for not getting things done or solving the problem? Both sides do it. I think it is a good way to play to their base-- the accompanying sound bite is "we would have done it, but the ________ (fill in the blank) wouldn't recognize the "rightness" of our path.
To be honest, I am equally disgusted by both sides. They need to negotiate, they need to compromise and they need to make significant cuts. And they need to pass a budget for the rest of this fiscal year.

We've become a nation that can't solve problems because we can't get out of our own way.
Life is about negotiation and compromise, where you are dealing with the country or dealing with your family. Both sides of the political spectrum have gotten way too addicted to the sound bite. It's like Charlie Sheen's "winning". Sheesh.
