I don't want them to "give up" anything, but I want them to be open to modifications. I think the basics of the plan are fine, but the devil is in the details.
What I don't want to see is another closed arm stand-off where there is no discussion at all, because no one will negotiate at all.

Ryan's plan is not set in stone as "the solution". It's a basis for discussion. I've read at least two critiques that said that his solution makes some assumptions that may or may not happen.

But, I don't want to debate this... I want those in DC to debate it.
We really need a leader.
