He can be a "uniter" because he IS the PRESIDENT of the US. I think it goes with the job. He supposed to be the one that points out areas of common agreement and tries to rally them.

I didn't mean the speech was stupid, I thought it was a poor move to invite Ryan to insult and criticize him in public. Not a good Presidential move. Stupid was a poor choice of word on my part.

But according to a poll I saw this morning, people are equally unhappy with Obama and the Republican Congress, over the economy. Just about everyone I talk to is fed up with Washington on the whole. 2012 might be even more interesting than any of us think.
