I haven't really followed this thread, but when it comes to being inept, I fall back on the analysis technique of searching for patterns. This Administration has been successful at a couple of things - the huge, misapplied (IMHO) stimulus package, health care for another, but in other areas he has failed (IMHO) miserably. His handling of foreign policy has encouraged the type of rebellion we are seeing in the Middle East because they know there are no consequences. The folly of Libya is insane, and his economic policies and big government objectives will place us into the same state of mediocrity that is now felt by our European (maybe they are, maybe not) allies. Going after Arizona because they enacted a law to enforce immigration laws that the Feds refuse to enforce. Blatantly political stances and speeches when he should be above the fray and showing the leadership necessary to solve problems, not advance agendas. Read the pattern...connect the dots. The guy, left alone to his devices, will ruin this nation - if he hasn't already done so.
I can think of several Republicans who could and would do a much better job than Obama. Some have suggested Paul Ryan. I would definitely vote for him if he were the nominee, but I also think he might be more effective as the VP and was given the job of straightening out our fiscal mess while the pres provided top cover. He would do an outstanding job.
Someone - maybe you Hound? - said that the Government is not a business and can't be run as a business. That may be true, but the strength of a successful businessman is the discipline and creativity to solve problems, something that experience as a community organizer doesn't provide and something that a lot of politicians haven't had to do.
Break, break, another subject. Everyone please pray for the victims of the storms this past week. And please don't forget them.....volunteer for church and community organized work projects over the summer. It is so easy for us who didn't experience the tragedy first hand to move on to other things or to get wrapped up in our own problems as time goes on....please lets not do that....and six months from now I would be grateful for one of you to remind me and everyone else of today's plea.....
