1. How many waterfront homes were destroyed?

totally blown away and / or "totalled" ? I would guess 30 or 40?  This from looking at the affected areas from land and water.  An aerial perspective from someone else would be appreciated.  This is a total guess.  3 or 4 by Children's Harbor. 10 in Cocktail Slough? 15 in Windermere? 10 off Impy Road on 34? How many north of 34?

2. How many waterfront homes were damaged but repairable?

another 50 or 75? It seems like if you were within 1 or 2 homes of the main path, you received some light damage.

3. What percent of the homes on the lake this constitutes?  (condos and townhouses not included)

less than 1%

4. Does the destruction of these homes change the value of existing homes?

no.  number affected is immaterial

5. How many people will not replace their home,  but instead just put the lot on the market?

I would guess slim to none.  Reason - most of those with mortgages on them are just about required to build back, because they would not come out as well if they took the money, paid off the mortgage, and then still had to put up money to clean the lot, etc. This gleaned from talking with quite a few folks in this situation.  Even those who don't owe on the home - this doesn't make selling the lot a no brainer.  Again, just an educated guess, though.  Each situation will be unique.

6. If many do so will that change the value of water front lot?

no. again, the number is immaterial.  Besides, most of the cabins by Children's Harbor and Cocktail Slough are Russell Cabins and therefore not privately owned.
