What did the UN have to do with the assassination of OBL?
The operation didn't go "south", it was a success. There are valid pros from not releasing the pictures, but in this particular case, I think the Administration should have done it; although since AQ is now acknowledging that OBL was killed, it may be a moot point.
Do you remember that during the Bush Administration, they would not allow pictures of the American soldier coffins? Well, it's much the same here. They are concerned about the emotional reaction.
And I'm with Lamont on this -- I'm ticked off with Pakistan and hate that they have us at the moment because of our need to use their ports to resupply our troops. Personally, I'd like to bomb them off the face of the earth.
