My soon is interested in maybe linking up with other scuba enthusiasts to help with underwater activities, but it is just too dangerous - nails puncturing hoses, or worse divers, getting tangled in ski ropes undeneath, and so forth.

Me thinks sooner or later Mother Nature will stabilize the situation to the point that those wanting to help can do so constructively and without adding to the casualty count.
