There is a sports bar in Alex City called JRs. I haven't been, so can't say what they serve or what kind of place it is.

There is Jakes which in the "shopping center" on the main street. They have steak at dinner. Not much else. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it -- cheap meat for a higher price than it deserves. They are also open on Sundays -- never been on Sunday, and I suspect it may be a buffet, but couldn't swear to it. Lunch during the week is okay.

There is a small restaurant in the back of Queen's Attic. I don't think they are open for dinner, but understand that they serve breakfast as well as lunch. The lunch menu, while limited, is very good.

And the Wine Emporium next to Queen's Attic has tapas and wine by the glass. Not sure what the hours are.

I would avoid the "City Buffet" on 280. Their posted health rating score is in the 80s.

There is a quasi-chinese restaurant on Cherokee right by the movie theatre. I've only eaten there once, and didn't think it was very good, but that was several years ago.
