We will try Spring House one of these days -- seems the reviews are pretty polarized - ya either like it or ya don't. Our problem is that, even taking back roads it is about a 40 mile round trip from our lake place - and if we were to be going there for a nice meal somehow the jostling, sometimes wet, sometimes dusty ride on the golf cart from the Russell landing doesn't jive with such an event.

Hound, for a Jersey gal you seem to be able to pick out the good places in MGM -- Peppertree, Garretts, etc. - ever eat at City Grill (very close to P'tree S&W) or Nobles downtown? The new Chop House at Vintage Year? I'm told they have some pretty exotic meats.

As far as AC goes maybe we'll try Jakes and the tapas place. Will be a cold day in he!! before we go back to Cecils.

And IF I can talk my wife into it, maybe we'll venture as far as Sylacauga and try out Buttermilk Hill.
