What a dif a year makes. Last year the public was enamored with Rachael Alexandra. Lots n lots of front page stories on cnn sports, espn etc, between the races and on race day. This year in spite of how well Animal Kingdom has run, no go. Gotta click on more sports to select horse racing to get any stories. Figured with the Stakes being run today, it would be back on front page. Nope.
My prediction. AK all the way. Just too good a horse and this longer track is suited for him.
btw, if you haven't seen the movie Secretariat, do. A bit ala Blind Side, tears in your eyes. A movie worthy of that great horse.
