There was an article not too long ago with regards to a serious manpower shortage for the Marine Police on Lake Martin due to budget constraints. Some weekends there will be no coverage at all. Although there seems to be fewer boats out this year, I am sure they have higher priority issues than trying to enforce a law that does not impact safety on the lake.
