Back when I was a kid, I remember camping out on the end of Dead Timbers. My Dad couldn't afford a boat so we didn't do any island camping. There were absolutly no houses in the area and we saw very few other people. Those were some of my fondest memories. Now you can't spit for the people, cabins, condos, jet skis,etc. I've just recently bought a place on the lake and I am looking forward to all the experience you can have - some bad -more good. Let the not so wealthy and college kids camp on the islands and enjoy in their way. In forty years they haven't trashed the lake more than Mother Nature did a couple of months ago.
