I recently received a 1986 Bayliner Capri with Volvo Penta AQ131A engine. The floor and transom are all rotten. I noticed that there are no motor mounts other than the transom. Anyone familiar with this setup? It is a small 4 cylinder and the engine is over the gas tank where the motor mounts would normally mount on the engine. It puts tremendous load on the lower transom bolts which on this boat have moved out about 1/2".
