When I was in high school, I worked one summer at a Greek restaurant. It was owned by one family. They all lived together and worked like dogs. Everything was made from scratch. I once asked one of them why they worked so hard. He told me that they were so grateful for being able to earn "so much money" that they could pay their expensive and save too.

This week I had some landscaping work done. Two Hispanic guys (have no idea about their status) spent two days in the heat, digging out gravel with a shovel and a wheelbarrow.

I think a lot of immigrants are hard workers, and are grateful for a good day's work.
