Obama keeps harping on paying "their fair share" when referring to high income earners.

So who objectively determines "fair share"?  I suspect if you were to ask six people to define "fair share" you would get seven answers.  I certainly wouldn't trust any politician because they all have ulterior motives......well maybe Paul Ryan and/or Allen West are exceptions.  Also hard to argue with the facts and logic coming from Marco Rubio.

Is it fair to ask those bringing in higher incomes to pay even more, even though it now it looks like those folks indeed are paying a higher percentage than their middle class counterparts?  How about the roughly half of the "taxpayers" that pay no taxes or negative taxes (pay NOTHING in and still get a refund)?  Who is to say that the wealthy have to pay for it all?  Why shouldn't the not-so-wealthy share part of the burden as well?  How about eliminating refunds in excess of taxes paid?

The current national discussion about "fair share" is a crock.  I don't have the answer but get tired of politicians who seem to think they do..... and their answer always plays to their political base rather than the good of the country.

Side Note:  Talk about bizarre, Ed Schultz congratulated Obama on his wanting tax hikes by saying the Republicans ran up the debt "like drunken sailors".  Using that analogy, I guess Obama is simultaneously on crack, speed, heroin, and crystal meth.
