Nope. I think things have reached the point where we all need to be reactionary.

I hope you are not right about this turning into some kind of racist referendum. Racism, perceived or otherwise, will not be solved by stories like this, and it takes the focus off the main issues confronting the country right now.

BTW, I have adopted another dog. She is a lab mix of some kind, very sweet. She was being fed by someone I know, but popping out litters with regularity. They elected to take her to the shelter instead of having her spayed. I couldn't stand to see such a sweet dog PTS, so now she's making her home with us.
