on my scale of rating decency in a profession or as a human being? Both rank at the bottom, way down.
Both have perfectly responsible, professional, honest members. But, those who are the good guys don't get their faces or mouths on TV, do they?
Shame on us for allowing a journalist to publish any story which causes major damage or complete destruction to someone's reputation/business/family without accountability for the accuracy of the story. A retraction is always ineffective after the damage is done. Freedom of Speech taken too far.
But, anything is OK for a Hot Story, or a costly law suit? Especially during the Election Process!! We can always retract it later.
