I have owned a house on Lake Lanier for two years now and agree it is unusual trying to figure out the rime or reason for the water level, but given how many people want this water, I'm surprised there is any water in the lake at all! I've also lived in other areas of the country and am a avid outdoorsman. When I moved to Atlanta 15 years ago I was impressed with the Corp management and how efficient they are. I've called them multiple times out to my property and they respond quickly every time. My dock permit process was smooth and they followed through like they said they would. I am also impressed at how clean the parks are around Lake Lanier. I grew up camping in the northern part of the country...yes I'm a Yankee, and always remember the trash filled camping grounds on the lakes up there. We may be taking their operations a little for granted. Try camping in some of the many campgrounds around the lake...very clean, great views, book online. It's still hard for me to believe you can camp so close to the water with the views.

Looks like the lake is rising...I look at rain and entirely different way now I own a lake house.
