Of course they have left Alabama for more favorable states. That is the beauty of the federalist concept of the Founders. If a state or or other local government wants to for example act as a sanctuary for illegals or the homeless or whatever they will get what they deserve, higher unemployment, higher crime, etc. Likewise, if a state wants to actually enforce their laws pertaining to illegals they will get what deserve, lower unemployment, lower crime, etc. Now if we can only force people to show a picture ID for them to vote we will get fair elections and fewer Democrats......

It is a beautiful thing.......
