Isreali has no friends left on her border and she knows that if she is overun it will make the holocaust look like a picnic. It is known they have nukes. I have heard of estimates of 1 to 400 hundred warheads but these are a desperate, intelligent people. I would bet they have many more. They will not stand by idly while Iran attacks them.
I have heard a bit of talk on some thing called the Samson Option and that is if Isreali is being overun as a last ditch to salvo all their nukes. Talk about Arhagedon! There wouldn't be a major city left in the Mid East. Were this to occur though, I guess we wouldn't have much trouble out of the Mid East.
