Yes, Its seasonal here on Lake Martin. Mar 1 I will start adding honey supers and the bees will be working to store and cap honey. That will last 6 weeks - 2 months and will slow and pick back up around August.

The only complaint I have concerning store bought honey is it generally is heated to bottle easier. Heated to the point where it will loose its good qualities that may be benefical to us with allergies & other medical problems. Also, local honey has the antiboties from local plants that will help us with allergies & such...

I am not a expert but, learning everyday. When I started just short of a year ago I attended Auburn University Synopisium, Then a 13 hour online course & I am attending a course now at out Beekeeper Association in Opelika.
