It used to be that a two cycle power tool would last forever with little to no maintenance.

Lately, I have had to replace gas tubes on just about every two cycle implement I own....weed eaters, edgers, etc.

The only difference?  I have been using gas with ethanol in it.  When I went to the lawn equipment place for my latest hose buy I asked the guy at the counter and he affirmed that ethanol is the culprit.

What damage I have is done.  But you can be darn sure that there won't be any more ethanol-laced gas in my tools.
