Well you can pay whatever you want for one. I bought one at a charity auction that was custom made in Hawaii fro $500. It is better than the ones at the marinas that they sell for three times that much. Carbon fiber and epoxy resin fiber glass.

If I were looking for one, I would try the guys at Bay Pines. they had demo boards last year and I understant they will not be reopening this year.

Russell sold the demos that had at Aquapalooza for around $500.

They are all over ebay for all prices. you can get a good one there foro $500 plus shipping.

The type of board you need is determined by the size of the rider and the skill level plus what you intend to use it for.

This is a pretty basic sport. It is not rocket surgery. It is easier to stand on a wider longer board, but they require more effort to paddle and don't go as fast as a smaller board would if you are a small person.

Go to the local marinas and try several and then buy it on the internet, probably ebay like you go to Best Buy and try electronics and then buy on Amazon,

Or be a nice guy and buy one at a Charity Auction. Childrens Harbor is having one next month and they usually have a nice new board for bids
