That is funny, also very good logic.  I have only seen (and killed) three poisonous snakes in 32 years at the lake.  All were Copperheads and very close to the house.  I did rescue a king snake a few weeks ago that got tingled up in some bird netting around tomato baskets.  Large Rat snakes are creepy, but you have to remember what they eat, rats & mice.  Which would you rather have?
