Free Paddle Board Race: Sat. June 30 @ Anchor Bay

Hey all, a couple of us local businesses are teaming up to put on a paddle board race on Saturday, June 30, at Anchor Bay Marina.
We have never done anything like this before, so I am sure it won't be perfect, but we plan on having a lot of fun. It is free to register and participate. We have set up an event on Facebook, it's linked below. So any Facebook users can register that way if they like. We will be setting up a web form to register outside of Facebook, and will have sign up sheets at Anchor Bay and Lake Martin Dock Company.
The general schedule (subject to change) is:
8:30 - 9:30 AM - Walk up registration
10:00 AM - start racing
Noon? - After Party at Harbor Docks restaurant
We are registering the course with the Marine Police so everything will be as safe as possible. Safety is the #1 goal. If you are not paddling, there will be a big area out on the point at Anchor Bay where you can hang out and watch by land and I am sure you can (safely) watch by boat. Also everyone is invited to the After Party at Harbor Docks. We don't know how long it will take to race, but we figure we will be there by noon.
As I said, this will be FREE. Why are we doing it? Mostly for fun. Lake Martin Dock Company is a major sponsor, they sell BOTE paddle boards, but any board type can race and you don't have to buy one or anything like that. Anchor Bay wouldn't mind if you filled your boat up with gas when there, and I am sure that Harbor Docks would sell you a cold beverage. But none of that is mandatory. Sign up, paddle, and have fun. I am working on doing some shirts for the early-birds.
