I was going to write a similar post but you beat me to it. I have a long story about why I now deal with the Cathouse. I will not post it but will be glad to share with anyone who wants to hear. And yes, I'm glad he has a shop not 4 miles from my place now. It sure beats hauling the boat(s) to Autauga county. Steve and his whole crew do something that very few marinas/ boat repair shops do these days. They truly care about their customers and are very professional in every way. They have fixed electrical problems on one of my boats, tuned and synchronized 3 carbs on an old Mercury Black Max, found some kind of leak in the oil injection system that was causing the engine to burn about twice the normal amount of gas. And most recently, completely re-powered my old Whaler with a brand new 175 Optimax. In every case, his main concern was that I was satisfied, everything worked and performed to my expectations. He will even call after a few days to "check up on you".  With the recent Optimax, Dane wanted to make sure I fully understood how it operated, the proper break-in procedeures and what all I needed to do. He even gave me his personal cellphone in case I ran into any problems over the long weekend. Very few mechanics will go to that kind of trouble for their clients. His whole staff could not have been more helpful. And lastly, no Treager or BGE can hold a candle to my home made 70 gallon hot water heater smoker, designed and built right here on the shores of good 'ol Lake Martin. It will burn pellets, charcoal briquets but performs best on my oak/hickory/pecan mix. It aint purdy but it cooks some mighty fine BBQ. jes sayin'
