Fishy –

I happen to like Mary Cheney, and her politics.  I don’t recall her sexuality when she appears as a commentator on Fox News.  I don’t disapprove of her private family life.  I do approve of her commitment to her… um… partner.  If she was my daughter and she was happy, my response would be the same as Vice President Dick Cheney’s.

I don’t know any conservatives who hate gays… let me rethink that… NOPE, don’t know any.  We conservatives generally approve of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”  We also approve of the sanctity and privacy of the home… that means, whatever gays and lesbians want to do in their homes (and hotels) well… us conservatives have no right to… um… interrupt. Also… whatever heterosexual couples (and swingers) want to do in their homes (and hotels) well… us conservatives have no right to… um… interrupt.

We just assume a special sort of vigilance when known gay men (and swingers) are present.  Some psychologist will have to explain why that vigilance is not equally applied to known lesbians.

Any Christian, who damns gays and lesbians to Hades, steals authority from God… and has been warned about that.  If God is upset with homosexual behavior… then He (She?)* will have the last word on it.

Gay behavior is a biological dead end.  It ranks right in there with doing your laundry by hand… except that you get someone else to do it.  Still… it’s impossible to procreate that way.

However, MARRIAGE is between a man and a woman.  It was that way until the Hollywood sponsored desensitization campaign over the past couple of decades. Do not confuse the terms marriage and contract.  Gays and lesbians should be free to enter any binding contract they both understand. But, they should neither expect taxpayers to underwrite their behavior nor bestow marriage benefits… unless, of course, you can get the taxpayers to agree to it by referendum.  Maybe you could have a block to check on your tax forms which says “[  ] I wish to contribute ____ dollars to the Homosexual Union Entitlement Fund.”  In the next few years… unless Hedonistic America has an epiphany… you’ll be able to check “[  ] I wish to contribute ____ dollars to the Beastiality Union Entitlement Fund.”

Marriage is a religious sacrament recognized by law (I’m surprised the liberal zealots who misapply the hoax of “separation of church and state” have not seized on that).  If you do not get married by a minister, then you are having a civil ceremony.

*If God is a she… my response will be, “Hi, MOM!”
