This isn't based on any specific religion but on natural law. If you in fact take these kind of relations to their extreme (i.e., its what everyone does) then we cease to exist as a species because two men or two women cannot procreate.

When you have a small minority of a species that freely chooses to engage in these kind of relations it is indeed perverse.
