If you are a Lake Watch member you would have just received an updated copy of Lake Martin Watershed. There is a points of interest map with places to visit, one of them is the abandoned gold mines, New Site near Horseshoe Bend, Devil's Backbone near the dam, Hog Mountain and Goldville. There is also a book called "Jewel of the South- Lake Martin", which talks about the history of gold mining. Good Luck!
